Outdoor Education Challenge - Earth and Rocks

We went outside and found some beautiful rocks to paint.  We read a couple of books about using rocks for art and then we created our own masterpieces.

Outdoor Education Challenge - Water

Today we created water monsters for our river race. We raced our monsters down the ramp on the structure!

Next, Mme Misty came in and brought her pet rats.  We loved meeting them and feeding them.  We learned all about how sweet and smart they are!

Releasing our Butterflies

We released our butterflies yesterday.  Some of them stayed to visit with us before soaring away.  As per an aboriginal legend, we whispered wishes onto their wings before we set them free.

 

 

Playing with our Chicks

We have so loved having the chicks in our classroom.  We play with them every chance we get.  We race into the classroom every day and go straight to the cage to say hello to our favourite little birds. Here are their names (chosen by us, of course):
